Snippets & broadcast
Commands you keep and reuse, and a way to type the same thing into several machines at once.
Save a command
Snippets and folders
Snippets are commands you keep, grouped into folders. Running one types it into the terminal in front of you — it is never sent until you press return, so you can read it first.
Values in a snippet
Write ${name} where a value goes and choose how each is filled: Ask each time (with a default or a list of allowed answers), Fill from the host (its address, port or login name), or Leave to the shell for a value the shell already has, such as ${PATH}. A snippet never runs with a value missing, and a secret answer is never kept.
Run across several hosts
One command, many machines
Pick several hosts and run a snippet across them. Termiyo shows the finished command before it goes, and warns when one of the chosen hosts is a production server — whatever the command is.
Broadcast input
Mirror your typing
Turn on Broadcast input and tick the tabs that should receive what you type. The tab you are typing in must be one of them. A badge marks every terminal in the group so you always know it is on.
What that means for secrets
Everything you type in the group goes to every ticked tab — passwords and one-time codes included. A paste warns you that it is landing on several machines at once. A saved password is the exception: it is typed into its own tab only and is never mirrored to the group.
