Copy files from one server to another
Move a backup or a release from one server to another without downloading it first or giving one server a key to the other.
Termiyo’s SFTP page can put a different server on each side and copy files from one to the other: it reads them through one connection and writes them through the other, so neither server needs a key or a login for the other. Use it to move a backup or a release between servers without downloading it first. Folders are not copied in this view yet.
Either side of the SFTP page can be a server. Pick one on the left and another on the right, select the files and copy them across: Termiyo reads them through one connection and writes them through the other, so neither server needs a key or a login for the other.
Steps
Put a server on each side
Open SFTP in the menu. Press “Change host” on the left pane and pick the first server, then pick the second on the right. A server that is not connected yet connects when you pick it.
Select what to copy
Open the folder, click the first file and Shift-click the last (Ctrl-click, or ⌘-click on a Mac, adds one at a time).
Copy it across
Press “Copy to the right →”. Each file is read from the left server and written to the right one, and the transfers list says when each is done.
Good to know
- Folders are not copied in this view yet: open a folder and copy the files inside it.
