Move files with SFTP
Move files to and from a server over the connection you already have, without a second program or login.
Termiyo’s SFTP page puts your computer on the left and a server on the right, over the SSH connection you already have, so you can send several files at once, rename them and make folders without a second program or login. If a file of the same name is there, Termiyo asks before replacing it. Use it whenever a file has to go to or come from a server.
Your computer on the left, the server on the right, over the connection you already have. No second login and no separate program.
Steps
Open SFTP and pick the server
Open SFTP in the menu. This computer is on the left; pick your server on the right. If you are not connected yet, Termiyo connects for you.
Send several files at once
Click the first file, Shift-click the last to take everything between (Ctrl-click, or ⌘-click on a Mac, adds one at a time), then press “Copy to the right →”. They go up together, and each one arrives whole.
Rename
Select a file on the server and press F2, or “Rename” in the server pane’s toolbar, and type the new name.
Make a folder
Press “New folder” in the server pane’s toolbar and give it a name. “New file” beside it makes an empty file.
Good to know
- If a file of the same name is already there, Termiyo asks before replacing it, and the old file stays as it is until the new one has fully arrived.
- Deleting on the server asks first, in the app’s own dialog.
