Add a server by hand
A new server is one short form away, using the SSH key you already have, without hunting for key files.
Termiyo’s Add server form takes a server’s address, port and user name, offers every key in your ~/.ssh folder as a chip you press (a password works too), keeps the login in your encrypted vault and connects. Use it to add one server by hand; to bring in many that are already saved somewhere, import them instead.
Press “Add server”, choose SSH, and fill in the address and the user. Every key in your ~/.ssh folder is offered as a chip, so the right one is a press, not a file chooser. The login is kept in your encrypted vault.
Steps
Open Add server
Press “Add server” on the Home or Servers page (⌘N, or Ctrl+Shift+D on Windows and Linux). It also offers imports from other apps and from cloud providers.
Fill in the address and the user
Choose SSH and fill in “IP address or hostname”, the port if it is not 22, the “Username” and a “Name” to see it by.
Pick your key
Each key in ~/.ssh is a chip under the form: press yours. A copy goes into your Termiyo vault. A password works too.
Save and connect
Press “Save and connect”. The first time, Termiyo shows the server’s key and remembers it once you press “Connect”.
Good to know
- In a hurry? Paste an address such as ubuntu@203.0.113.10 into “Quick connect” at the top of the same window and press “Continue”.
